We had a little bit of a scare this past week. On Tuesday July 3rd I had to go to the hospital because I was in excruciating pain and I had no idea what was wrong.
It started the Thursday before I woke up in the middle of the night with some cramping in my lower abdomen and a pulsing sensation on my right side. As the days went by I noticed it got a little more intense and I had to go to the bathroom every 5 minutes it seemed like so naturally I thought I had a bladder infection. On Tuesday the pain got worse so I left a message with my doctor's office to call me back so I could go in. I went to the post office to pick up some mail for work and the pain suddenly moved into my lower back on the right side and the pain was so intense I almost past out. It hit me so hard and so fast I freaked out. Luckily my doctor's office called and I drove over there as fast as I could breaking every traffic law and running a few tolls on the way. By the time I got there I was a total mess making a big scene in the doctors office because I was in so much pain. Doctor Webster said she was sending me straight to the hospital. Amber is just down the street so she came and rescued me and drove me to the emergency room.
After all was said and done it turned out to be a kidney stone. It was horrible and my hat is off to anyone that has experienced that because it was not fun. They told me that was equivalent to what labor would be like and that scared the hell out of me epidural here I come. At least when I go into labor I will have some idea of what to expect.
As soon as I got to the hospital they did a sonogram to check the baby and once I heard his heart beat and they told me he was fine I was so relieved I started to cry and believe it or not I did feel a little better. I had no idea what was going on at that point for all I knew I was losing my baby thank God that wasn't the case.
I spent the 4Th of July in a hospital bed but I did see some fireworks outside my hospital room window woo hoo. I got to go home on Thursday and now baby and I are doing pretty good. I still haven't passed the stupid stone but at least I am not in as much pain as before and I have drugs in case I am he he.
Oh by the way baby is kicking like crazy I felt him for the first time on June 26Th while I was sitting in the bank drive through. He poked me twice in a row and I knew it was him making himself known. I notice that he kicks me when I lay on my back I guess he doesn't like that too much.
Thank you all for your wonderful comments I love reading them. We are getting closer to choosing a name so as soon as we make a final decision I will let you know.

Oh my gosh! You poor thing. I can totally relate to the kidney stone thing. I had my 1st in high-school (don't you remember?) and my second about 5 years ago. I remember the pain and it is comparable to labor. All I can is drugs, drugs, and more drugs. Anyway, glad to hear you and baby Logan are doing great. Can't wait to read your next blog.
