Baby Shower

On October 13th I had a baby shower hosted by my very best friend Amber, my sister-in-law Jean and Jessica, and my mother-in-law Barbara and it was fantastic! It was held at the Antique Gallery in Lewisville in the Tea Room. We had good food and lots of fun. We played a baby Mad Libs game and it was hysterical. If you haven't ever played Mad Libs it is a game where you come up with a list of nouns, adjectives, adverbs, numbers, and so forth and then fill them into the marked spaces and it comes out as a crazy and funny story this one was about giving birth. We had yummy finger foods and an adorable cake that Amber had made.

Later I opened gifts and we got so many wonderful things. Some of the things we got were lots of clothes, diapers, bibs, pacifiers, a baby book, a very special poem made out of Logan's name, and a bottle of non-alcoholic wine and champagne with our own special label. I have some of the most wonderful friends and family ever I am so incredibly blessed. When I brought everything home Joel reopened all the gifts and looked at every single thing the nursery looks like a baby store blew up in there right now. I think Joel is getting really excited it is becoming more and more real to him. Here are some more pictures from the shower.

On a different note I did have a doctor's appointment on Thursday October 11th and everything is going smoothly my blood pressure and weight are normal and I am going to be going back once a week from now on. My next appointment is this Friday, October 19th and I will have my first of many cervical exams I am sure. 4 1/2 weeks and counting.
