Dr.s Appointment

I had my monthly doctor's appointment on Thursday, August 9th and it went really well. My blood presser was 125/82 and I have gained 7 lbs which according to the nurse is in the normal range. She said it was quite a jump from last time I was in but that now is the time they usually see a jump in weight. Up until now I really haven't gained any weight but I definitely have a healthy appetite these days. I got the hear the heart beat and it was strong and in the 150s.

My next appointment is in 3 weeks now instead of 4 so I will see Dr. Webster again on Aug 30th. Between now and Aug 26th I have to go to the lab and do the 1 hour glucose test which I have heard is not that pleasant so I am not looking forward to that. This test apparently tests for different forms of diabetes.

I have been feeling pretty good lately. I get burst of energy and I try to take advantage of it when I can but it has been so hot lately that I get tired pretty quickly especially after working all day. It is hard for me to get comfortable at night so I don't get much sleep. I am convinced this is the body and minds way of preparing you for the feedings every 2-3 hours when the baby is first born. I have a hard time sleeping on my left side only I am not used to it and my arm and legs get cramps in them and that wakes me up too. The doctor told me to drink more water and eat a banana every day.

We have almost completed the nursery we just need to hang the border and light switch cover I bought and we can start moving the furniture in. Joel and I went and picked up the crib this morning and that needs to be put together what fun!

I wanted to save the best for last we have finally and officially agreed on a name for our little boy. His name is Logan Christopher Schmitz. I pretty much picked his first name so Joel picked his middle name. Christopher was the saint that Joel chose for his confirmation and that is where he came up with his middle name, also it is my nephew's name so that is nice too.

We are both getting more and more excited. Logan is kicking and moving around more and more these days. It is even strong enough to see now and Joel got to feel him kick for the first time last week and he was really excited. He moves when I eat or drink anything really cold like ice cream or ice water. Also, when I lay on my back he will start to move around.
