It's a Boy!!

Well, it's official were having a little baby boy!! We had our second trimester sonogram today at 11:00 am and it was very exciting. We are both super excited especially Joel he was so glad it was a boy but don't let him fool you if it had been a girl he would have been just as excited. The doctor asked us what we thought it was and for some reason I said a girl I'm not real sure why I said that since I have been saying the whole time that it is going to be a boy. She said well it is definitely a boy without a doubt. Here is our son in all his glory:

Yea it wasn't very obvious to us either so here is what your looking at. There is his two legs, his bottom, and the little arrow in the middle is pointing to his little boy glory. I guess to an experts eye it is pretty obvious and she was pretty certain it was a boy so I guess we are confident we are having a little boy. She also measured his head, brain, bones, spinal cord, and a lot of other stuff and he is perfect in every way. I was a nervous wreck let me tell you I was so afraid she was going to tell me he as missing a lung or he had an extra nose or something. Here is a picture of our little mans profile:

Isn't he handsome but I guess I am a little biased. He stayed pretty still during the sonogram. I think he was asleep until she starting poking around and then he would move around a little. She said he was in the perfect position to tell the sex because his legs were up by his head and his butt and all were sticking up in the air. He had one hand by his face as you can kind of see in the picture and the other was sticking straight up by his head with his hand above his head. She said he was laying long ways across my belly with his head on my right side. she tried to get him to kick me so I could feel it since I haven't been able to tell his movements yet but he didn't want to cooperate he is being stubborn already just like his momma.

The rest of my appointment went really well too. My blood pressure and other tests are all normal and I even gained 2 lbs since my last visit a month ago which is pretty good. We got to hear the heart beat again once Dr. Webster came in to talk to us and she said it was around 140 and then he got excited and it got close to 150 which she said was all normal he must have woken up or gotten startled. Joel and my mom went to the appointment with me and they both were very excited about the news.

Now it is time to shop and decorate!!
